Thott 547 4º: Book of Hours

This book is counted among a group of illuminated manuscripts that were produced specially for Mary de Bohun, who married the man who later became Henry IV. She was the mother of Filippa (1394-1430), who married Erik of Pomerania (c. 1382-1459) in 1406. Filippa may have brought the book with her to Denmark.

The book's illuminations include illustrations of a number of legends. - See also Thott 517 4°.
