Drama Collection

The primary responsibilities of the Drama Collection are:

  • to collect and preserve the archives of unpublished texts performed at Danish theatres, including prompters' books, stage managers' records etc.
  • to purchase new theatre texts published in the major languages and make them available for theatre directors, actors, dramaturges, researchers, students at the acting schools and others with a general interest in the theatre.
  • to respond to subject enquiries received from all categories of users.

The aim is to collect all Theatre texts performed at Danish theatres. The manuscripts are collected in cooperation with a subject specialist forum and the theatre organisation Danske Dramatikeres Forbund. The Drama Collection receives all relevant material in form of theatre books,  manuscripts and other private donations.

A Guide til Dramatisk Biblioteks samlinger (only in Danish) provides access to both the catalogued and as yet uncatalogued parts of the Drama Collection. The guide is updated continously.
