Jack Quartet is one of today’s most recognised and respected ensembles. Among other things, this is because the ensemble, with unshakeable commitment, has performed many completely new works and also given a voice to lesser known composers. The fact that the quartet often enters into close collaboration with some of the most innovative composers results in a radical and modern form of music with respect for the technical, musical and emotional aspects when involved with the works.

The unique, New York based quartet performs modern contemporary works with a wildness and commitment that leaves no doubt in one’s mind: They are the superheroes of tomorrow’s classical music!

The quartet, which has previously worked with such artists as Julia Wolfe, Helmut Lachenmann and Philip Glass, will play on this occasion divisio spiralis (2019), which has been written for Jack Quartet by the American composer Catherine Lamb, who is receiving the Ernst von Siemen’s Music Prize in 2020.

The concert lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, without an intermission.

Wine-tasting session at 19.00 in The Salon: Kr. 145.
