Marianna Shirinyan’s dynamic and virtuoso playing style have made her one of the most creative and sought-after pianists in Europe today, both as a soloist and a chamber musician. At the concert, she presents a charming and virtuoso programme which begins with Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons, a suite comprising 12 short piano pieces – one for each month – which is seldom heard in its entirety. This is followed by Chopin’s four ballades, which is music in its finest form and is considered to be one of the most representative works of the Romantic period. Shirinyan’s technical as well as musical mastery is displayed to its best advantage in this repertoire.

The concert lasts approx. two hours, including an intermission

Performer: Marianna Shirinyan, piano
