J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos are so well-known and loved that one easily starts to take things for granted: the timbres, the virtuosity, the alternations, the great zest for life and the profound seriousness. But if one listens to them all together, their incredible richness of variation comes into focus and there is always something new, uplifting or remarkable to discover. Both their stylistic expressiveness and use of instruments is enormously diverse and makes demands of true virtuosity on the musicians. For that reason, a performance of all six concertos at a single concert is a rarity!

The concert lasts approx. 2 hours and 20 mins, including an intermission
